Hockey (Men): National Hockey Stadium, Bukit Jalil
Situated in the midst of the National Sports Complex in Bukit Jalil, 1.5 km away from the Games Village, the construction for the venue was completed ahead of schedule and has already hosted the 9th Men's Hockey World Cup Qualifiers in March 1997. The stadium features two astroturf system 90 pitches and has a seating capacity for 12,000 (covered) and a seating capacity for 2,000 (1,000 covered) respectively.
The participants who were present to witness the tournament were impressed with the state-of-the-art facilities available.
Facilities include press room, interview room, changing rooms, dressing rooms, massage room, meeting room, and locker room. Ultra-modern public system has been installed.
The stadium is serviced by the LRT system where the station is located about 100 yards away.
Training and Warm-Up Venue
The stadium will also be used as the training and warm-up venue.
